RABBI LORD JONATHAN SACKS z”l

The Trustees and staff of the Wohl Legacy mourn the passing of Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks z”l. We have been privileged over the years to support Rabbi Sacks in his work, sponsoring Covenant and Conversation in memory of the late Maurice and Vivienne Wohl.

Rabbi Sacks’ blend of wisdom and eloquence; his ability to connect our community and others to our Jewish heritage; and his compassion for the stranger in our midst meant that his reach went well beyond his congregation and his faith. His integrity shone through and he was a much sought-after leader and ambassador. When he addressed European leaders of 19 different Jewish communities in June, through Educating for Impact, he understood the challenges small communities face. His words that day inspired and reinvigorated us all to work towards the thriving and sustainable Jewish communities of the future.

We send Lady Sacks, Joshua, Dina and Gila, Alan, Brian and Elliot our deepest condolences, along with his colleagues Joanna and Dan.
